It was 7PM and Geoffrey decided that he would like some tea, so he got off the couch to do that thing. He walked down his hallway and to his kitchen. He grabbed his step stool, placed it in front of his pantry, opened the door and reached to the back of the top shelf to retrieve his electric kettle.
He placed the kettle in his sink, pushed the button to open the lid, and filled it with water. He set the kettle on the counter right next to his coffee pot, and pushed down the button to turn it on.
He walked back to his pantry, replaced his step stool to its proper location, and moved around a few boxes to see his selection of teas. Geoffrey chose a Lady Grey as he was comfortable with his masculinity.
After that, he selected a coffee mug. The kettle clicked off just as he set the t-bag inside. Geoffrey walked over to the kettle and set his mug directly in front of the coffee pot. He felt the kettle with the back of his hand to make sure it was warm. It definitely was. He poured the water into the cup and noticed a weird sloshing.
He had just poured the hot water and already his tea was a strange color.
Once again, Geoffrey pushed the button to open the lid, only this time he looked inside. There he saw a parboiled mouse.
Geoffrey decided to skip his tea that night.
